Samson gave up the glory of an eternal ministry of being a deliverer of a nation for an unwholesome, illicit relationship with Delilah. Esau gave up his birthright (of being a patriarch in Israel, a covenant carrier) for red porridge.
Isaiah 59:1-2b says, “Behold, the LORD's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God.” So, your iniquity can separate you from the covenant.
Ignorance can also separate you from the covenant. You need to do all you can to have the right values in your heart.
